Celebrations

Fingask is a wonderful place for celebrations. Here you can hold a party for 400 people in the prettiest pavilion in Scotland or have an intimate marriage ceremony in the copper, scarlet and gold belvedere. There is St Peter's Wishing Well, with a proven record of fulfilling wishes, to give private support to your public statements. If it is a big party you can stay in the castle and receive your guests like a laird. If it's a wedding, the wedding party can return to the castle while their guests live it up in the pavilion. There are three four-poster bedded rooms filled with antiques and family portraits. The wedding party can stay in the Castle. Friends and relations can stay in cottages on the estate and in the numerous hotels and B&Bs nearby.
Whatever you are after Fingask will keep the atmosphere of a private house. Fingask is not a hotel. If you decide to hold a party here the place will be yours. You will have the run of what is widely acknowledged to be one of the most romantic locations in Perthshire. With its statues, waterfalls, topiary, woodland walks, ruins, wonderful trees and great views you will have the run of a castle designed as a pleasure ground. The ancestors of the present owner were famed for their hospitality. The tradition continues.
We have a number of venues for your party. We have our own pavilion that can comfortably seat up to 350 people eating and dancing on the Bowling Green Lawn. The pavilion has been designed to be divided into modules, when required, so that a party for 60 people or less is not simply isolated at the end of a giant hall but has a generously sized module to itself. If you fancy a seriously big party we can open up the entire pavilion and erect a second marquee on the adjacent Ossian Lawn to feed and dance another 250 people.
Fingask
The ancient part of the castle is licensed for receptions and entertainments. The saloon on the first floor was built for parties, with its sprung floor, its double open fireplaces, its mirror lined walls and its coffered ceiling has room for 5 eightsomes. Below this is the large dining room, where 60 people enjoy a sit down dinner and next door the intimate library where the ancient volumes of the Fingask library can be examined. Or you can spill out into the fountain courtyard and watch the sun going down or coming up (!) over the Tay and the topiary.
